Van Zyl du Preez
Director & Chief Investment Officer
Van Zyl is the Senior Portfolio Manager, CIO and Key Individual on the FSCA licence at iF Capital. He oversees the firm's investment strategy and asset allocation across mandates, leads the research and investment decision-making process, and is responsible for regulatory and compliance oversight. Van Zyl also works closely with clients, advisors, institutions and platforms on strategic matters, while managing and mentoring the portfolio management and analyst team.
HJ Grobbelaar, CFA
Portfolio Manager
HJ is the Portfolio Manager at iF Capital and supports Van Zyl in implementing the firm's investment strategy and managing daily portfolio operations. He conducts fundamental, macroeconomic and market research, builds and maintains financial models, and contributes to asset-allocation and security-selection decisions across multi-asset client mandates. He also coordinates the team's research workflow and supports the operational processes that underpin efficient portfolio management and compliance.
Zoë Travers
Investment Analyst
Zoe is the Investment Analyst at iF Capital and is responsible for conducting research across asset classes, sectors and geographies to identify investment opportunities. She supports the CIO and portfolio management team with data-driven insights that inform asset allocation, thematic research and security selection, and assists Van Zyl with regulatory and compliance oversight. Zoe also monitors portfolio holdings, maintains investment cases and works closely with the team to maintain a consistent pipeline of well-researched investment ideas.
Gerhard Henning
Director & Chief Financial Officer
Gerhard is the Group Chief Financial Officer and a non-executive director of iF Capital. He is responsible for the financial management, reporting and financial governance of the group, including the accounting function, regulatory financial reporting, treasury and the internal control environment. As CFO, he supports the Key Individual and operations team and maintains relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banking institutions and SARS. He provides oversight of the financial management and internal control environment, as well as the financial soundness requirements applicable to a Category II FSP.
Michael Walsh
Executive Officer
Michael is the Executive Officer at iF Capital and supports the operational and management functions of the business. He forms part of the broader group's management team and works closely with the group's executive team on the implementation of strategic and business initiatives at iF Capital. He is also responsible for business-related activities and works closely with the finance, legal, HR and marketing teams across iF Capital and the broader Third Age Group.
Jacques van der Westhuizen
Accountant
Jacques is the Accountant at iF Capital and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, performing reconciliations, and preparing financial and management reports. He supports management and the investment team by providing reliable financial information for decision-making and assists with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, audits and regulatory requirements. His role ensures effective financial controls, accurate record-keeping and reliable reporting, providing the financial foundation that supports iF Capital's investment and business activities.
